Hey Women!

Born on someday somewhere as a daughter;
Family’s mindset would have brought them either gloom or laughter!

Things are never in her hands when she is born,
But one day she writes history and old pages are torn.

This land is blessed with Mahishasur Mardini!
Vibrant Ganga streamed in Shiva’s locks, on her Earth’s journey!

When Satitva alone could have burnt the torturer;
Siya spent days and nights; Rama arrived and did the honor!

Don’t just let that spirit go down,
You have always been there; like a glorious crown!

Love them; teach them to love others…
Forgive them if you can; strangers, friends, lovers, brothers.

Your love might melt mountains of egos.
It might even wash frustration, anger, hatred, pathos.

Keep doing that Herculean task;
Cause one day the Almighty may ask…

I had sent you there to do my part of job.
To keep alive each house, to be its heart-throb.

I cannot be physically present everywhere.
Some one has to be there beneath each roof; to take care!

Feminine is often misinterpreted;
Liberalization often crosses the boundaries.

Softness is coined as weakness;
Principled sounds like a word from past centuries.

So forget those interpretations, Just stay girl!
Man has always loved you; Inside his shell, shine like a pearl!

:-)

Both of her poems reflect that she has an effortless pen. She has her own style. She is not simply one sided while speaking about "Women". There is a note of pacification for the womenfolk running as undercurrent.

.........Just stay girl! Man has always loved you; Inside his shell, shine like a pearl! Most of our poets miss this undercurrent.
